Katherine Wise

My Story

Katherine Wise is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009 and her Master of Science in Counselor Education in 2012, both from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Katherine has 13+ years of experience across different mental health settings, including children's grief programs, the foster system, the school system, and private practice, with a "one true love” of Play Therapy. She enjoys working with children as young as 2 up to 18 years old, using creative modalities to process experiences and grow skills. She is also trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Family Interaction Therapy (FIT).

Katherine is married and a mom to two young daughters. She enjoys TV and movies, local festivals, and any activity that feeds her big-kid heart.
