My Story
Hi, I’m Bess Ewing,
I’m a proud dog mom, avid coffee drinker, and lifelong book nerd. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an elementary/middle school teacher, which gave me the privilege of supporting people of many ages and needs. I love working with adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate life’s challenging, confusing, and transitional times. My approach is grounded in client-centered therapy, meaning your voice and your goals guide the work we do together. I also integrate CBT and ACT to help you build insight, develop coping tools, and move toward the life you want.
Not a fan of traditional talk therapy?
Let’s get creative. I enjoy incorporating art and play-based interventions when appropriate to help make therapy feel more comfortable and natural. And if you’re an animal lover, you can even request a session with my golden retriever, Avery for pets and snuggles during your session.
My goal is to create a safe, accepting, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your past, understand your present, and step confidently into your future. I offer in-office sessions for all ages and Telehealth for ages 15 and up. When you’re ready to begin your journey, we’re here to help.
