My Story

Hi, I’m Ali! Here’s a little bit about me!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor, offering both in-person and telehealth services. I graduated in December 2022 with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I work with adolescents (ages 10+) and adults. I have experience from both private practice settings and a history of working with the incarcerated population; guiding clients through some of life’s most complex mental health challenges and major life transitions—so you don’t have to face them alone.

My passion is with helping others through psychoeducation, advocacy, and support. I operate from a multicultural lens, taking seriously the importance of creating a safe, non-judgmental space where all clients feel valued, respected, and understood.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, as well as relationship concerns and conflict, academic or work stress, low self-esteem, grief, substance use, and periods of feeling generally unfulfilled ( “wanting to be happier”) I pull from different therapeutic approaches such as: CBT, DBT, ACT, Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Integrative work. However, if words fall short, I like to incorporate art and expressive techniques—as it ignites a different approach of emotional processing. I am also currently pursuing additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and remain actively engaged in continuing education to stay current with the latest research and best practices.

My approach to therapy is flexible-some clients feel most supported by a structured, skills-oriented approach, while others prefer a more open, client-led approach. Most would say my style is collaborative, easy-going, and direct.

Overall, therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating or rigid—it can be a space where you can feel supported, challenged, and reminded that you don’t have to carry everything on your own. As the saying goes, “we are all just walking each other home,” and my role is to walk alongside you, offering support, honesty, and direction. I’d be honored to take this walk with you!
